I enjoy living at the corner of Business and Technology.
I have in-depth experience in a unique combination of cloud computing, services infrastructure, mobility and servers. I know how to package technology for broad consumption.
As an independent Board Member for newScale, I positioned the company as the leader in private cloud management and automation.
As the CEO of Dexterra, an early innovator in enterprise mobility applications, I drove its merger with Antenna Software to become the undisputed leader.
As the new business senior executive at IBM Global Services, I started the SOA-based IT infrastructure business and grew revenues to well over $4 billion in four years by creating a diverse portfolio of asset-based solutions and training 90,000 consultants worldwide to guide the transition.
I ran strategy and market development for IBM’s Intel Server business, transforming that product line from a $900 million industry laggard to a $3 billion industry leader in 3 years. I created the brand’s technology blueprint, called it X-architecture, and take pleasure in seeing the concept endure some 12+ years later.
I lead P&L/general management efforts for a variety of technology and consumer companies including PanAmSat, a global satellite communications provider to the entertainment industry, Cadbury Schweppes, a global soft drinks company, and Loews Corporation.
I have a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin (Go Badgers!).
